The Weekly Notable Startup Funding Report takes us on a trip across various ecosystems in the US, highlighting some of the notable funding activity in the various markets that we track. The notable startup funding rounds for the week ending 6/22/24 featuring funding details for Hona, Autify, Constructor, and sixteen other deals representing $597M in new funding that you need to know about.

JOGO Health – $5.5M

Old Bridge-based JOGO Health is a Medtech company that uses wearable sensors and AI to treat pain and neuromuscular conditions. Founded by Gary Krasilovsky, PhD., Sanjai Murali, and Siva Nadarajah in 2019, JOGO Health has now raised a total of $15.9M in total equity funding and is backed by Hourglass Ventures and Mayo Clinic Ventures.

Vecna Robotics – $40.0M

Waltham-based Vecna Robotics offers Automated Material Handling, Hybrid Fulfillment, and Workflow Optimization solutions. Founded by Daniel Patt and Daniel Theobald in 2018, Vecna Robotics has now raised a total of $168.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Impulse VC, Proficio Capital Partners, and Tiger Global Management.

CesiumAstro – $65.0M

Austin-based CesiumAstro provides out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space or airborne platforms. Founded by Shey Sabripour in 2017, CesiumAstro has now raised a total of $171.2M in total equity funding and is backed by Assembly Ventures, Development Bank of Japan, InMotion Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, L3 Harris Technologies, Lavrock Ventures, Matter Venture Partners, Mesh Ventures, Quanta Computer, and Trousdale Ventures.

Sewer AI – $15.0M

San Francisco-based SewerAI uses AI tools to improve sewer condition assessment and inspection data management. Founded by Billy Gilmartin and Matthew Rosenthal in 2019, Sewer AI has now raised a total of $18.5M in total equity funding and is backed by Bentley Systems, Burnt Island Ventures, Emerald Venture Capital, EPIC Ventures, Innovius Capital, Suffolk Ventures, and Zac Bookman.

Marigold Health – $11.0M

Boston-based Marigold Health uses chat support groups to make substance use treatment more engaging and personalized for vulnerable populations. Founded by Ravi Shah and Shrenik Jain in 2016, Marigold Health has now raised a total of $21.4M in total equity funding and is backed by Commonwealth Care Alliance, Epsilon Health Investors, Innospark Ventures, KdT Ventures, Koa Labs, Rock Health Capital, Stand Together Ventures Lab, VNS Health, and Wavemaker 360.

Hona – $9.5M

Orem-based Hona eliminates unnecessary communication and improves customer experience with automatic update notifications. Founded by Joshua Christensen, Manny Griffiths, and Matt McClellan in 2021, Hona has now raised a total of $22.8M in total equity funding and is backed by Costanoa Ventures, Ludlow Ventures, Soma Capital, and Y Combinator.

Tender Food – $11.0M

Somerville-based Tender Food is a food technology startup that creates alternative meats that replicate the texture, taste, and consistency of real meat. Founded by Christophe Chantre, Grant Gonzalez, Kevin Kit Parker, and Luke MacQueen in 2020, Tender Food has now raised a total of $23.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Claridge Ventures, Lowercarbon Capital, Nor’easter Ventures, Rhapsody Venture Partners, and Safar Partners.

Renzo – $17.0M

New York-based Renzo is a Liquid Restaking Token (LRT) and Strategy Manager for EigenLayer. Founded by James Poole and Lucas Kozinski in 2023, Renzo has now raised a total of $23.4M in total equity funding and is backed by Antalpha, Bankless Ventures, BH Digital, ConsenSys, CryptoDiscover, Figment Capital, Galaxy Digital, Karatage, Maven 11 Capital, Protagonist, and SevenX Ventures.

Iambic Therapeutics – $50.0M

San Diego-based Iambic Therapeutics is disrupting the therapeutics landscape with its unique AI-driven drug-discovery platform. Founded by Fred Manby, Sarah Trice, and Thomas Miller in 2019, Iambic Therapeutics has now raised a total of $232.9M in total equity funding and is backed by Abingworth, Coatue, Exor Ventures, Illumina Ventures, Mubadala Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Qatar Investment Authority, and Tao Capital Partners.

Entro – $18.0M

Cambridge-based Entro is a revolutionary cyber security platform that provides protection for secrets and programmatic access to cloud services and data. Founded by Adam Cheriki and Itzik Alvas in 2022, Entro has now raised a total of $24.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Dell Technologies Capital, Hyperwise Ventures, Mickey Boodaei, Rakesh K. Loonkar, and StageOne Ventures.

Autify – $13.0M

San Francisco-based Autify is an AI-powered tool that simplifies web and mobile application testing, allowing users to automate tests without having to code. Founded by Ryo Chikazawa and Sam Yamashita in 2016, Autify has now raised a total of $26.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Archetype Ventures, Globis Capital Partners, LG CNS, LG Technology Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Uncorrelated Ventures, and WiL (World Innovation Lab).

Kinetic Automation – $21.0M

Santa Ana-based Kinetic is a digital repair system that provides automated maintenance and service for electric and autonomous vehicles. Founded by Christopher Weber, Nikhil Naikal, and Sander Marques in 2021, Kinetic Automation has now raised a total of $31.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Allstate Strategic Ventures, Construct Capital, Haystack Ventures, Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, Lux Capital, and Menlo Ventures.

Finaloop – $35.0M

Brooklyn-based Finaloop offers real-time ecommerce accounting software and bookkeeping services for DTC, multichannel & wholesale. Founded by Eliran Azulai, Lioran Pinchevski, Omri Haim, and Yaron Revah in 2019, Finaloop has now raised a total of $52.0M in total equity funding and is backed by Accel, Aleph, Commerce Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Vesey Ventures.

Princeton NuEnergy – $30.0M

Bordentown-based Princeton NuEnergy is a clean-tech startup focused on direct recycling technology for lithium-ion batteries. Founded by Bruce Koel, Chao Yan, Xiaofang Yang, and Yiguang Ju in 2019, Princeton NuEnergy has now raised a total of $64.2M in total equity funding and is backed by Helium-3 Ventures, Honda Motor, LKQ Corporation, Samsung Venture Investment, SCG Chemicals, Traxys S.A., and Wistron Corporation.

GrayMatter Robotics – $45.0M

Gardena-based GrayMatter Robotics provides AI-powered robotic solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency for high-mix manufacturers. Founded by Ariyan Kabir, Brual Shah, and Satyandra Gupta in 2020, GrayMatter Robotics has now raised a total of $69.1M in total equity funding and is backed by 3M New Ventures, Advance Venture Partners, B Capital, Bow Capital, Calibrate Ventures, Euclidean Capital, NGP Capital, OCA Ventures, SQN Venture Partners, Swift Ventures, and Wellington Management.
