Rumors are rife about a possible new smartphone launch from HTC, the U24 Pro, following the release of U23 Pro last year. While no official specifications have been announced, tech gurus predict the U24 Pro may boast of upgraded camera software, a robust processor, and enhanced battery life.
Last year’s U23 Pro marked a significant improvement in terms of screen resolution and processing power, setting a high benchmark for the upcoming U24 Pro. HTC, however, hasn’t disclosed the release date or potential features, keeping tech enthusiasts and potential buyers conjecturing.
Once a titan in the smartphone industry, HTC had to retreat from the market due to growing global competition. Despite being a pioneer in Android smartphones, the company succumbed to the intensifying worldwide competition.
In recent times, HTC hinted at the launch of the HTC U24 Pro within the next month. This model is anticipated to be an advanced version of the U23 Pro with enhanced hardware.
HTC U24 Pro: Upgraded features and expectations
Rumors hint at a robust camera system, faster processor, bigger screen, faster charging, longer battery life, and possible 5G connectivity. Other speculated features include sleeker design, more user-friendly interface, and the latest Android version.
A Geekbench listing indicates the U24 Pro, codenamed 2QDA100, may feature a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC – an upgrade from the U23’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. It is expected to feature a larger battery, 6 GB RAM, and increased processing and battery life. The model may also feature a significant boost in internal storage and RAM, compared to its predecessor, and could be run on Android 14. Price is expected to be around $350, same as the U23 Pro.
While the upcoming HTC’s momentous comeback is eagerly anticipated, the already saturated smartphone market may still pose challenges for the brand. However, tech journalist Hamid believes that HTC U24 Pro’s appealing specifications and competitive pricing could provide HTC with a significant competitive advantage.
