Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the fell 1.78%, while the index fell 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the were Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:), which rose 4.82% or 2.57 points to trade at 55.93 at the close. Meanwhile, Carrefour SA (EPA:) added 2.73% or 0.49 points to end at 18.26 and Alstom SA (EPA:) was up 1.89% or 0.51 points to 27.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kering SA (EPA:), which fell 4.29% or 24.80 points to trade at 553.80 at the close. LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:) declined 3.92% or 31.70 points to end at 777.30 and Worldline SA (EPA:) was down 3.85% or 1.51 points to 37.74.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) which rose 4.82% to 55.93, Elior Group (EPA:) which was up 4.20% to settle at 3.32 and Accor SA (EPA:) which gained 3.52% to close at 31.73.
The worst performers were Valeo SA (EPA:) which was down 9.14% to 19.14 in late trade, Fnac Darty SA (EPA:) which lost 9.13% to settle at 35.04 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:) which was down 6.82% to 7.17 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 330 to 215 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in Korian Medica SA (EPA:) fell to all time lows; losing 6.82% or 0.52 to 7.17.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.55% or 10.05 to $1,816.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.84% or 0.63 to hit $76.02 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.68% or 0.56 to trade at $82.77 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.45% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.62% at 105.18.
