The global primary market remained resilient, with over 100 companies collectively raising approximately $16 billion through IPOs worldwide. Asian markets played a dominant role, accounting for more than $12 billion of the total capital raised, Sebi bulletin released on Wednesday said.
Asian and other emerging economies witnessed sustained primary market activity, leading to their outperformance over the developed markets. Europe recorded comparatively subdued IPO issuance, the bulletin said.
November India IPO trends
During the month, IPO listings delivered a strong performance. Eight out of 12 mainboard issues were listed at a premium, with an average listing-day gain of 10%.In the SME segment, six out of 10 issues listed at a premium, recording a peak listing-day gain of 90.5% and an average gain of 14%.The Northern region, with 10 listings amounting to Rs 17,082 crore, led capital mobilisation during the month, surpassing the Western region.During the month, seventeen offers worth Rs 6,615 crore were launched with the objective of change in control/management, closed under the SEBI (Substantial Acquisition of Shares and Takeover) Regulations, 2011.
Sectoral snapshot
The data also reveals mainboard IPO sectoral trends, showing financial services alone accounted for more than a third of the total amount raised through mainboard IPOs in FY26 up to November 2025. It is followed by consumer durables, consumer services and capital goods. The top four sectors collectively raised Rs 96,068 crore, accounting for 69% of the total amount raised by mainboard IPOs.
