Three Champions Set the Early Pace

100 Thieves defeated NRG 3-1 in the Valorant grand final, with Cryocells earning MVP honors; UNLIMIT won the Apex Legends Match Point Finals ahead of ZETA DIVISION and Wolves, with Peace named MVP; and NAVI’s Darkangel beat Virtus.pro’s mi2ha4 5-1 in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.

Official EWC listings show $600,000 for the Valorant winner and $250,000 for the Fatal Fury champion. The broader competition carries a reported $75 million prize pool, including $30 million for its cross-game Club Championship.

Those results opened a schedule running from July 6 through Aug. 23. Dota 2 remains active, while League of Legends, Free Fire, and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Women’s Invitational enter the Week 2 program.

As of July 13, Polymarket lists 642 esports prediction-market events. The 20 leading contracts Bitcoin.com News reviewed carried $402,600 in combined volume and $1.387 million in liquidity, led by eSuba vs. Misa Esports at $61,400 in volume, where eSuba held 34%, and Hanwha Life Esports vs. MIBR.LOS at $48,400, where Hanwha commanded 92%.

The EWC-linked League of Legends board showed Gen.G at 86% against Karmine Corp on $22,900 volume and $49,900 liquidity; LYON at 45% against JD Gaming on $17,300 and $64,600; AG.AL at 51% against Dplus KIA on $19,100 and $46,600; Bilibili Gaming at 84% against Movistar KOI on $34,400 and $50,900; T1 at 91% against GAM Esports on $11,500 and $39,600; and Team Secret at 60% against Sentinels on $12,800 and $34,200.

Dota 2 traders priced Team Liquid at 64% against Xtreme Gaming with $32,800 volume and $168,000 liquidity; Vici Gaming at 52% against Playtime with $35,100 and $78,600; Rune Eaters at 34% against Virtus.pro with $22,800 and $103,000; and LGD Gaming at 74% against MOUZ with $19,600 and $82,600.

Four markets showed volume totaling $156,324: SPARTA vs. MOUZ NXT at $85,617, with SPARTA at 98%; Virtus.pro vs. Falcons Esport at $28,373, with Virtus.pro at 69%; Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Kaufland Hangry Knights at $36,746, with Kaufland at 99%; and Sentinels vs. Team Secret at $5,588, with Team Secret at 52%. The rest of the matchups are brand new markets.

Favorites, Toss-Ups and Early Pricing Gaps

The platforms did not always agree. Polymarket favored Wolves over All Gamers, while Kalshi leaned All Gamers. Both backed LUA over FALKE, placed Team Liquid at 64%, and assigned XLG almost identical probabilities, showing where independent trading pools converged before play.

For esports teams, organizers, and sponsors, the wagers create a continuously repriced record of expectations. The early champions supplied the first hard results; the coming matches will show whether heavily favored names, including T1, Hanwha Life, Gen.G and Bilibili Gaming can convert market confidence into tournament wins.
