The IRS Doesn’t Just Go After Bank Accounts

Many taxpayers believe that keeping minimal funds in their checking account can help them avoid trouble with the IRS. However, the agency has the authority to pursue much more than just what’s sitting in your bank. It can place levies on wages, meaning a portion of your paycheck could be withheld before it even reaches you.
